Eric Cheng rejoins Maxim as head of healthcare investment banking

After an absence of five years, Eric Cheng has rejoined Maxim Group as a senior managing director and head of healthcare investment banking. Mr. Cheng held similar titles at Maxim between 2011 and 2017.

Mr. Cheng brings decades of healthcare and securities industry experience in private equity, investment banking, and SPAC sponsorship. He has more than two decades of experience as an investment banker, during which time he completed transactions valued at more than $13-billion.

Prior to returning to Maxim, Mr. Cheng served as managing director at Altium Capital Management, focused on investments within the healthcare sector. He also served as chief business officer for Medicus Sciences Acquisition and co-head of healthcare investment banking at Roth Capital Partners.
