Cheryl Reicin, renowned Canadian corporate lawyer, recognized at LMG Life Sciences awards

Cheryl Reicin, partner at Torys, was named Canada’s financial and corporate attorney of the year at the seventh annual LMG Life Sciences awards. 

Ms. Reicin is the practice leader of Torys’ life science group, representing biotech, medical device and health technology companies, from start-ups to large public companies.

Eileen McMahon, also a partner at Torys, received the Canadian patent non-contentious attorney of the year award. Ms. McMahon is the chair of Torys’ intellectual property and food and drug regulatory practices and the only lawyer in Canada to be ranked in band one by Chambers for Life Sciences law.

In addition, Torys received the Canadian impact deal of the year award for its work on a $40-million series B financing for ABK Biomedical.

The LMG Life Sciences awards honor top-ranking firms and individuals for outstanding legal work in the life sciences sector in the four main practice areas of regulatory; intellectual property; financial and corporate; and litigation and enforcement.
