HCW names John Chambers president, head investment banking

John Chambers has joined H.C. Wainwright as president and head of investment banking.

Mr. Chambers joins HCW from Roth Capital Partners where he was vice chairman and head of healthcare investment banking. In his 28-year career, Mr. Chambers has played a senior role in the life sciences/healthcare investment banking groups at Rodman & Renshaw, Cowen, Lehman Brothers and UBS Securities.

In a statement, Mark Viklund, CEO of HCW, said Mr. Chambers extensive experience in raising capital and providing strategic advice to life sciences companies, along with his deep relationships in the sector, will further strengthen HCW’s ability to provide quality service to its corporate finance clients, across the full range of market capitalizations.
