Samir Hussein joins Ladenburg Thalmann in TMT investment banking

Ladenburg Thalmann has announced the appointment of Samir Hussein as managing director, TMT investment banking, based in New York.

Mr. Hussein brings more than two decades of investment banking experience advising management teams and boards on capital markets and M&A transactions. Prior to joining Ladenburg Thalmann, he served as co-head of the technology and finance practice at Duff & Phelps. Previously, Mr. Hussein held roles as managing director in TMT investment banking at Oppenheimer, JMP Securities, and Deutsche Bank. He was also served as a vice president at Morgan Stanley.

In a statement, Nicholas Stergis, head of investment banking at Ladenburg Thalmann, said, “Samir will be instrumental in shaping our technology sector strategy as his background and experience fit perfectly with our client-first approach.”

Mr. Amir holds a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor in Finance, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, from Boston University.
