Jim Alfaro has joined JMP Securities as a managing director, healthcare investment banker, after a nearly 15-year stint with Maxim Group.
At Maxim, Mr. Alfaro’s final position was a senior managing director of healthcare investment banking. He also served as a managing director, where he was responsible for origination and execution of strategic advisory and capital raising assignments for later-stage private and micro-to-small cap public healthcare, technology and consumer product companies.
Prior to joining Maxim, Mr. Alfaro was a senior VP and head of healthcare investment banking at Wedbush Morgan Securities.
Mr. Alfaro began his career at Chase Securities in the firm’s mergers and acquisitions and syndicated finance groups and later joined J.P. Morgan’s equity capital markets group.
