
Sunshine BioPharma (NASDAQ: SBFM) has announced Canadian regulatory approval of its generic ACE inhibitor, Enalapril, in oral tablets of 2.5mg, 5mg, 10mg and 20mg for the treatment of hypertension, heart failure, and left ventricular dysfunction.
Sunshine expects to begin shipping Enalapril to Canadian markets by year-end 2026. The company reports that the global anti-hypertensive drug market was valued at $25.94 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach $37.24 billion by 2034, expanding at a compound annual growth rate of 4.1%.
