Alphatec launches titanium interbody implant for spinal fusion surgeries

Alphatec Holdings (NASDAQ:ATEC) launched its IdentiTi porous titanium interbody implant system for anterior lumbar interbody fusion procedures.

Key features of the implant include a stiffness similar to bone, reduced density for improved imaging characteristics, and a proprietary pore structure that enhances implant stability and adhesion.

“Alphatec is on track to fulfill its aggressive new product development and commercialization program,” Pat Miles, Alphatec’s chairman and CEO, said in a statement.

“The innovation we are introducing is increasingly being adopted by discriminating spine surgeons,” he added.

The implant is the fifth new product, and the fourth IdentiTi implant system the company has launched in 2019. Alphatec plans to launch seven new products, which include two IdentiTi implant systems, by the end of 2019.
