John Baumgartner named Lake Street’s head of capital markets

Lake Street Capital Markets has named John Baumgartner as its head of capital markets, responsible for overseeing marketing, pricing, and distribution of its capital raising activities.

Mr. Baumgartner began his career at Piper Jaffray in 1999, and subsequently oversaw equity capital markets at both Stephens and Robert W. Baird. He has considerable transaction experience, having successfully completed more than 300 IPOs, follow-on offerings, block trades, and private placements.

“As we continue to win more book-run equity underwriting mandates, John’s expertise and relationships across the industry will help us continue to provide our clients with the highest levels of service, advice and transaction execution capabilities the market has come to expect from Lake Street,” Mike Townley, Lake Street’s head of investment banking, said in a statement.
