JMP Group (NYSE:JMP) named Shawn Cross as a managing director in its healthcare investment-banking group with a focus on the biotechnology and biopharmaceutical sectors.
Prior to joining JMP Securities, Mr. Cross was chairman and CEO of GT Biopharma, a clinical-stage immuno-oncology company. Previously, he also was a managing director in healthcare investment banking at Deutsche Bank Securities, where he led the biotechnology coverage effort, after working as a managing director and head of biopharmaceutical investment banking at Well Fargo Securities.
