HEALWELL AI (TSX:AIDX; QTCQX:HWAIF) has announced that New Zealand’s Overseas Investment Office (OIO) has granted consent for the company to acquire all ordinary shares of Orion Health, based in Auckland, New Zealand, as of December 16, 2024.
The acquisition involves a total consideration of NZD $175 million, along with a performance-based earnout of up to an additional $25 million.
According to the company, the acquisition of Orion will add more than 150 million covered lives globally, significantly expanding HEALWELL’s footprint to advance its mission of early disease detection. It also enhances scales HEALWELL’s platform by strengthening its presence in the public sector, bolstered by Orion’s established government relationships and broad customer base.
