USPTO issues NOA for Purple’s next-gen multispecific antibody platform

Purple Biotech (NASDAQ/TASE: PPBT) has announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) issued a Notice of Allowance (NOA) for a patent application covering tri-specific antibody constructs and methods of use.

According to Purple, the patent allowance further expands the company’s intellectual property portfolio supporting its proprietary CAPTN-3 platform for conditionally activated multispecific antibodies.

In a statement, Gil Efron, CEO of Purple, commented, “This U.S. patent allowance is another important element in the evolution of the CAPTN-3 platform. Beyond expanding our intellectual property portfolio, it reinforces protection for the modular design that allows us to rapidly develop new multispecific antibody candidates by incorporating different targeting domains and functional components. As we continue to enhance the platform, we expect to generate additional antibody programs that address a broad range of oncology targets.”
