Sunshine Biopharma (NASDAQ: SBFM) has announced the approval of its generic Anastrozole tablets of 1mg for the treatment of postmenopausal women with hormone receptor-positive breast cancer in the Canadian market.
Anastrozole is the generic equivalent of the brand name breast cancer drug, Arimidex, which lowers estrogen levels in the body to slow down or reverse the growth of specific breast tumors.
In a statement, Dr. Steve Slilaty, CEO of Sunshine, commented, “We are pleased to introduce Anastrozole oral tablets as the newest addition to our expanding portfolio of high-quality generic drugs. This approval strengthens our position in the generics market and reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering affordable medicines that patients and healthcare providers can rely on.”
