Brookline Capital in partnership with Arcadia Securities

Investment banker Brookline Capital Markets entered into a partnership with broker-dealer, Arcadia Securities.

The transaction allows Brookline to capitalize on and expand its growing presence in the public capital markets by increasing its regulatory capital base, bolstering its established sales and trading capabilities, and unlocking new mergers and acquisitions advisory capabilities to better serve its clients.

“We believe the Arcadia partnership validates the progress we’ve been making in the public capital markets and solidifies our position as a leader in the private capital markets,” Scott Katzmann, a managing partner with Brookline, said in a statement.

“We’re confident that Arcadia’s distribution base of sophisticated high net worth individual investors and family offices will enable us to continue to curate highly attractive investments for our investors and provide our clients access to a unique, fundamental, and long-term shareholder base,” he added.

Brookline also announced a pair of senior team member additions – John Foley and Bill Tanner – to its public capital markets team.

Mr. Foley, most recently a director of institutional equity sales at BTIG Securities, was named a managing director of Brookline’s sales and trading team. He will open Brookline’s new Chicago office and work to broaden the firm’s presence across the Midwest.

Mr. Tanner, most recently a senior biotechnology equity research analyst at Cantor Fitzgerald, was appointed a senior advisor to the firm. He will play a key role in shaping Brookline’s competitive positioning and will leverage his extensive Wall Street track record to help craft Brookline’s life sciences healthcare strategy.
