The Canada Pot Talks radio show has interviewed Horst Zerbe, president and CEO of IntelGenx (TSXV:IGX; OTCQX:IGXT), about its partnership with Tilray (NASDAQ:TLRY) to co-develop and commercializean IntelGenx VersaFilm oral film product infused with adult-use and medical cannabis.
Dr. Zerbe discussed the benefits of delivery of cannabis via an oral film, compared with tablets and gel caps. A VersaFilm product also would offer acontrolled dosage of THC, with increased absorption, he added. An oral film would benefit patients who have difficulty swallowing, whileits child-proofpackaging would greatly reduce the risk of accidental ingestion.
