A patient using Titan Pharmaceuticals’ (NASDAQ:TTNP) Probuphine six-month implant containing buprenorphine as a new treatment in the battle against heroin and prescription painkiller addiction has documented his experience on Janaburson’s Blog.
The blog, which is a collection of postings about opioid addiction and its treatment with medication from a patient’s perspective, was started at the end of April 2016 after Probuphine’s approval by the FDA.
A recent posting by Chris Barth details his use over many years with sublingual buprenorphine and his experience after receiving the Probuphine implant. “I’m happy to report that so far Probuphine has exceeded my expectations in ways I didn’t even expect,” Mr. Barth said.
In addition, he contends that Probuphine is a game changer. “If my experience so far stays the same, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.”
