Migenix names Brennan as CEO

Vancouver-based Migenix (TSX:MGI) has appointed Paul Brennan as CEO, effective immediately, succeeding interim president and CEO Bruce Schmidt, who will continue as president.

Mr. Brennan has more than 20 years of pharma and biotech experience, including most recently as CEO of Altair Therapeutics of San Diego. He also has held senior executive positions with Aspreva Pharma of Vancouver and AnorMed of Calgary.

Migenix chairman Doug Johnson said Mr. Brennan’s appointment “reflects our preparedness to attract major pharma and biotech collaborations, and licensing relationships for our anti-infective and antibiotic programs.”
